Weekly Meditation

Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month

7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Meetings are at a private residence. Please contact Eve at evebarnett@gmail.com or (215) 519-3323 for details.
Meetings consists of 30 minutes of meditation followed by informal dharma discussion and personal check-ins about practice. The needs and interests of those in attendance dictate each meeting. Currently the group is peer-led. Beginners and those unfamiliar with Buddhism are welcome. No donation is currently being accepted.

 

Meditation 

We practice a style of meditation known as Vipassana, or Insight Meditation. Often translated as “mindfulness,” Vipassana implies seeing deeply or clearly, penetrating and illuminating reality. The practice of vipassana or mindfulness offers a way to radically transform our vision, understanding, and engagement of and with our human life.
